Crossing Borders Ministry
See below how you can assist this great work

“              …if anyone gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones…”  Matthew 10:42
Crossing Borders Ministries (CBM) envisions crossing border lines of despair and hopelessness, not only in the
physical areas surrounding the border town of  Fabens, Texas, but also in the spiritual areas of lives, spreading the
love of Jesus in word and deed. CBM believes in  crossiing  over  intergenerational, cultural and religious barriers in
order to care for the less fortunate. They envision the curse of poverty over the
lower valley area of El Paso and Juarez "broken" by neighbors caring for neighbors. They envision churches on
both sides of the border partnering together and filled to capacity with Spirit–filled people loving
each other and carrying each other's burdens. They envision the widows, orphans and
homeless having their needs met by Christian brothers and sisters and that no one should ever go to bed hungry.
They envision children on both sides of the border being clothed and educated and supplied with
the necessary tools to be able to care for themselves and others.

Above all, Crossing Borders Ministries envisions this area on fire for Christ, and that this fire will spread—
crossing all borders.
Because to Christ, there are no borders. He loves us all equally, and we should do the same.

North American Mission Board Service Corps Missionaries, Elfi Register and Joan Wilson developed the Crossing Borders
Ministries and serve as the Directors.

Every Tuesday, CBM sets up a Distribution Day in Faben’s First Baptist Church annex for pastors and missionaries from Mexico.  The pastors know they can count on CBM to be there between 9:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. with beans, rice, and other needed items, both for their own families and for the needy families in their communities. Right now, Crossing Borders Ministries works with 40 ministries. Each pastor is responsible to cross their items into Mexico.
Clean, Dry Plastic Bags are needed each Tuesday to bag rice and beans. FBC is going to collect these bags year round to help with this vital ministry. Please place your bags in the collection bin located in the Great  Hall.
CBM can always use volunteers to help on Tuesdays, and whenever there is a special emphasis such as the School Supplies or Christmas Shoe Box Gifts Drives for children. Just call to schedule a work day for yourself or your group.  915-764-5343 or 915-491-7528 elfir@crossingbordersministries.com or joanw@crossingbordersministries.com
Monthly financial support is always needed. Donations to Crossing Borders helps buy the rice, beans, and other items. Support for Elfi and Joan helps in their mission call. They are full time mission volunteers.
